Presidential Election Results Bring Greater Harmony…or Division

When I was a boy growing up in the UK, I looked at America (The US) as the land of possibility. Clearly, the election results have shown is that it still is. What the implications are we will have to wait and see. Even in my teens, I was often told by my conservative British friends that I was too American, even during my years living in Aussie I heard the same…I always took that as a compliment!

I’ve always loved the American people and that the US has always been a country where I’ve felt welcome. I travel in and out of the states all the time and I am always treated well because in my experience the American people are good people and many of them are my good friends.

Once again, I would like to remind my American friends that those who did not vote the way you did are still American’s, please don’t let the results of this election divide you as a nation. But rather come together in your love of each other and your love for your nation. And as this is a personal message I would like you to know this: I love you and I am deeply grateful to you the American people for your courage, caring, and compassion.

Remember we do not grow in our sameness, it is our differences that pull us to a place deeper inquiry, and from there we develop compassion.

I ask that each of us remembers that leadership starts with us deciding on the example we want to be. The Presidential Election Results Can Bring Greater Harmony…or Division it’s up to us as individual leaders to decide!

May your God be with you in harmony, in courage, and in love.
